A 11-hours trip in Jogja

So yesterday me and a friend of mine, Fuad were having a short-trip 'round Jogja. Well...actually at first we planned to attend National Kite Festival 2013 in Glagah Beach, Kulonprogo. But we ended up going to many places! :D
Around 7, Fuad picked me up then we had Soto Pak Gareng as breakfast. Done with tummy, then lesgoh!
Glagah Beach is 40 kms away from the city and it took about 2hours to get there. I luv the scenery along the way, and also I luv it that the road was soo quiet, not many vehicles passed by.

We relied on GoogleMaps to get there....and luckily we didn't get lost :'D .

Arrived at 9 whilst the Festival itself began at 10...so we spent the time sitting by the lagoon. Glagah Beach has a lagoon, fyi. Maybe bcs the beach is too dangerous (it has huge waves) for water activities esp for kiddos so they built a lagoon.
The Lagoon
Then around 10, the fest started!

So sad bcs what I saw is sooo different from my expectations. I expected to see the kites beautifully fly by the beach. But in fact, the festival was held on a field near the beach...huftness

Actually there are 5 kinds of competition :
Traditional
2-Dimension
3-Dimension
Naga Train
and
Rokuku Challenge
But we left Glagah Beach in the middle of competition so we didn't saw 5 of them.
Then on our way home, Fuad offered to visit Tamansari Water Castle too..
tickets : 4K per person

Sadly the pool was being drained..
Anyway, that day Jogja was SO HOT all entire day. The sun burnt our face><
Fyi, Tamansari Water Castle is used to be the pool for the kingdom's mistresses to bathing. This is a former royal garden of the Sultanate of Yogyakarta.
After Tamansari, we continued to Vredeburg Fortress
It was really hot and I'm cravin' for ice cream oh my so we stopped by an ice cream stall. Yayy

We were just roaming around the fortress...and sometimes making fun of the dioramas...
Then went home 'round 5 (bcs butterflies in ma tummy started to annoyed me)

That was a very, very well spent Sunday =))
Thankyou, Fu. Keep eating seafood n never expect too much hahahahaha #ifyouknowwhatimean
Anotha trips awaits yeay!
