French is such an interesting language for me bcs its unique accent. I currently learn French and I wish I could fluently speak French one day... :)
There are many ways to learn French. You can take course at Institut Français Indonesia (IFI) which located in many cities. In Jakarta, IFI is located at Salemba.
But, if you has no time for taking course but you still wanted to learn French, go on web. Lots of sites that provide French lesson for free!

This is my fave site and I think this is the best and effective way to learn French so far (Not only French but all languages! You choose!). In livemocha, we can learn the ability to speak, listen and also write in French. Livemocha has 4 levels with 6 units+course test in each level. And every units has 2 lessons plus Quiz.
What even great is, your submission will directly reviewed by the natives!

1-is the notification button, you'll get notified whenever you had review of your submission
2-Teacher Score. For every submission that you reviewed, you'll get score of it
3- My Activities. It shows the levels you currently learn
4- Tokens. In Livemocha, you need token to get lessons.

How do I get Tokens?
-You can purchase it via PayPal, or
-Review Submissions! You'll get 20-30 tokens for every reviews (psst, audio review will give more tokens!)

Also, in Livemocha you can meet new people from various countries! You can directly chat, and ask them to teach you :). I myself had befriended with guys from Egypt, France, Brazil, Japan and many mooore. Don't you think it's really interesting?
