Hidden Spot in Siung Beach

Sunset has never failed in engrossing me in awe whenever I look at them. I enjoy spending my evening gazing at the sky. This time I got to witness the sunset in Siung Beach, precisely on its cliff not the shore.

Located around 70 km away from the heart of Yogyakarta, it took us two hour and a half to reach there.

If you decided to visit Siung Beach for a sunset, make sure to depart early so that you don't need to be in rush when trekking the hills

All of the photos were taken by: Hanjunio

Climbing to the cliff took us—Me, Hanju, Intan, Cecep and Budi—around 45 minutes long. It’s a sloppy path to go. On our way to the corner of the cliff, Hanju kept assuring us that the scenery would be very worth the path. And yes he was definitely right.

Rest awhile on the pathway

where's budi? Oh there he is:

As soon as the sun completely out of our sight, we proceeded back to the beach. But unfortunately, we barely remember the way back because it was too dark and there weren't any lights. We had to rely on the flashlight of our cellphone while tracing down the path. After a rough one hour we made it to the shore and rested in a food stall, then accidentally bumped into our friends that went camping in Siung Beach.
Siung Beach is not swim-friendly due to the tidal wave and sharp cliffs but you can build a tent by the shore to enjoy the scenery. Don't worry, there are plenty kiosks that sell food and beverages even clothes. Toilets are on reach as well :)

I always enjoy seeing the sun sets, never occurred to me getting bored of it! So....wait for another sunset-chasing story from me!
